I don’t do journalistic posts or anything TMZ-esque, but I feel like I have to throw my two cents in on this. This post will be updated more, but I feel the need to put this out there right now.

If what Pusha-T said on ‘The Story of Adidon’ is factual and Drake is in fact hiding a child, it’s not acceptable and the public needs to hold him accountable.

We can’t talk about, preach about, the faults of black men who don’t claim their children and/or walk out on them and then excuse Drake.

We can’t let a man who has repeatedly mentioned the effects of his father not being there for him during his childhood do the same for his child. We can’t excuse him bringing a child into this world and not claiming it. We can’t excuse the fact he (allegedly) begged the mother of his child to abort it.

I’m not trying to tell anyone what to do with their life, but we need to keep up the pattern of holding celebrities accountable. We can’t continue to make it socially acceptable to not raise your children. We can’t let him continue the cycle of black fatherlessness that he’s part of.

Don’t respect millionaires who have children that they don’t want to raise. Take care of your children to the best of your ability.
